Mountain Confederation's 8th Annual Ladies' Champion Tournament
EISENTAL
MAY 10-12, 1996

(NOTE DATE CORRECTION)

Little Bo Peep has lost her sheep and doesn't know where to find them...but we do! The Mountain Confederation, with our hosts, the Shire of Eisental, invites you to join us at the Ukrainian Homestead, (RD#2, Lehighton, PA 18235), for a weekend of fun, honoring (?) our fleecy friends. Ah sheep...they give so much and ask so little!

Saturday's martial activities include our traditional Novice and Jack-of-all-Trades Tournaments, followed by Sheep Rugby. Our archers seek your aid in scouring our woods and rescuing our sheep from assorted predators, (has anyone seen Thorvaaldr?!?). An area will be set aside for fencers, providing a fencing marshal is available or in attendance.

For those who pursue more gentle pastimes, our Arts & Sciences competition will feature a special category, "things made from sheep". Our Chancellor Minor is busily planning supervised activities for halflings, to be posted at Troll. Merchants are most welcome, indoor and outdoor space is available for plying your wares. On Saturday, we have the pleasure of offering a Middle Eastern Dance Class with the incomparible Jade (Contact Ellesbeth Donofrey for more deails)

Saturday evening will feature a hearty feast guaranteed to sate the most formidable of appetites, (our fleecy friends will not appear on the menu as we are intent on honoring them, not eating them!). The site is wet, and in compliance with the site policy, alcohol consumed during the feast must be purchased from the Homestead, although their pub will be open for business throughout the weekend.

The costs for this celebration are modest, so as not to "fleece" our guests and includes breakfast and lunch on Saturday, breakfast on Sunday, and are as follows. On-board: 2 nites $18.00, day trip or 1 nite, $11.50. Off-board: 2 nites $12.00, day trip or 1 nite, $6.00. Children 7-14 are half price with those 6 and under free. Please make your checks payable to: SCA Inc. - Shire of Eisental and mail them with an SASE for confirmation, event schedule, tournament guidelines and A&S competition rules, to Astrid Olafsdottir, (Alis Bajan 260 Liberty Street, Nazareth, PA 18064 610/759-2670 between 8:00am and noon only!).

The site offers a limited number of motel rooms (for an additional charge), inquiries for reserving rooms, family rates for the event or any other questions, may be directed to the autocrats, Ellesbeth Donofrey (Elizabeth Amick) 610/866-5755 or Oonagh Fiadhaich (Leslie Lippincott) 215/257-0137, before 9:00pm.
