Hope Lutheran Church
4131 Lehigh Drive
Cherryville PA, 18035
DIRECTIONS
Cherryville is North of the Allentown/Bethlehem Area in PA.
Your best routes are via the North-East Extension of the PA Turnpike or Route 22.
From the PA Turnpike North East Extension (RT. 476) take exit 34 (Mahoning
Valley, Rt. 209). Take the off-ramp towards Lehighton and Jim Thorpe. At
the stop sign at the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto Rt. 209. At the
first stop light, turn left onto Rt. 248 (a divided highway). You will pass
the small towns of Parryville, Bowmanstown, and Palmerton. The four-lane
will end at a traffic light, get into the left lane. Bear left immediately
after going through that light and stay on Rt. 248. Still bearing right, go
through the very next traffic light, passing Hawkey's Cycle Creations on
your right at the junction of the "Y". Stay on Rt. 248 for several miles,
going straight through a traffic light at a Texaco station on the left. The
next traffic light will be by a Turkey Hill Minute Mart (on your right). Go
straight through that light, 2/10 of a mile ahead on your right look for the
Hope Lutheran Church.
From Route 22, take Airport Road North. Airport Road is also Rt. 987 and is
between Allentown and Bethlehem. Follow this North, at the 4th stop light,
you will be at a "T", make a left, go to the next traffic light (Gregory's
will be on your right and a WaWa will be on your left) and make a right to
continue on Rt. 987 North. From the light at Gregory's, you will continue
for 5 miles to another "T" in the road and make a Left onto Route 248 West.
Follow Route 248 West for 6.5 miles. Hope Lutheran Church will be on your
left immediately as you enter Cherryville. There is a sign for the
Cherryville Senior Center at the entrance to the Church. Signs will be
posted.

requests that you please bring the following materials:
Yardstick
Pencils and eraser
Pencil sharpener
Tape measure
l square and hip curve (if anyone has one; master henry will be supplying one.)
T-square (ditto)
French curve (ditto)
Small translucent ruler (ditto)
3 yards of fabric for muslins; it should be able to be written on
and fairly substantial
Tracing wheel and tracing paper
Pins
Thread, in contrasting colors
Hand sewing needles
Chalk
Paper and pens for notes
Scissors for material and paper
(Optional) Folding cutting board with grid-markings
You may also just "audit" the seminar, which means taking notes but not actually
making any pants.
If you have a portable sewing machine or extra iron, please contact Mistress
Gabrielle (arts@eisental.eastkingdom.org)
to co-ordinate these items.
