THE SAMURAI CHALLENGE

A samurai of the 16th century was expected to be adept with the spear, the lance, the sword, the naginata, and still other weapons. His survival and honorable reputation depended upon mastery of them all.

The Samurai Challenge is a shield-free rattan tournament designed to allow all warriors a chance to show their diversity of skills. We do not wish to reveal too much too far ahead of the matsuri, but suffice to say, the more authorizations you possess, the more fun you will have. We will, of course, allow you to pick up one or two new authorizations the morning of the event.
