Welcome to the Shire of Eisental. It covers an area that include, but not limited to, the cities of Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton, Quakertown, Reading, Lehighton, Tamaqua, and Pottsville, Pennsylvania (Lehigh, Northampton, Carbon, Schuylkill, and Berks counties).
We are located in the Southern Region of the East Kingdom, Society for Creative Anachronism SCA, an international organization dedicated to the study and recreation of pre-17th century European History. The Shire is always looking for new members to bring into the Current Middle Ages.
The SCA is a non-profit, educational organization The events are participatory and members selectively recreate medieval culture, choosing the elements that interest them. Our shire is full of kind gentles who study everything from fighting, armoring, medieval martial arts, sword fighting, armored combat, armor making, traditional archery, glass work, bead making, costuming, heraldry, calligraphy, illumination, dancing, music and more. Baroness Alaine ni Deorin is stepping down from Exchequer due to personal reasons. As of July’s meeting, Lady Cillene O Caollaidehe will step up as acting Exchequer, from Deputy Exchequer, until requests for office can be emailed to the Shire Seneschal and a shire vote can be held.
